    This book is both a beautiful and provocative collection of essays about myth, soul and the depths of the imagination. Each author is a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute, a unique institution dedicated to animae mundi colendae gratia (for the sake of tending soul in and of the world). Two of my essays are included: "Euripides' Women: The Role of the Feminine Other," and "The Myth of Actaion: Archetypal Image of Buddhist Enlightenment."

Update, High Desert Mythological RoundTable (R) Group

Campbell images Plans for the first meeting of the High Desert Mythological RoundTable are taking shape. The Joshua Tree Retreat Center (Mentalphysics website for directions and info) has generously offered us a meeting space-thank you!

Note that the date for the first meeting has been moved from Thursday, March 26th to Tuesday, March 31st, and we will meet thereafter on the last Tuesday of the month, 7-9PM. Our birthday celebration for Campbell will be a few days late.....but rest assured, there will be cake.

More details on the program to follow. Thoughts about the group and the nature of our monthly gatherings are welcome.
